Kiran James is a Forbes-featured entrepreneur, IIM Jammu alumnus, and award-winning marketing professional with deep expertise in brand strategy, digital transformation, and business operations. He is the Co-founder of QwattTechnologies Pvt. Ltd., Stalbau Infra Pvt. Ltd., and FYBB Innovations Pvt. Ltd.—the parent company of Join The Story and The Profit News. He previously served as Chief Marketing Officer at the Muthoot Mathew Group, where he led major brand development and strategic growth initiatives across multiple business sectors.

Through FYBB Innovations, he drives advanced digital marketing, and integrated brand consulting services, with operational presence in Kochi, Bengaluru, and Dubai. He is also a Director at Aarthikam Communications Pvt. Ltd. (acquired via FYBB), the parent organization of The Profit News, a respected business journalism platform, and the promoter of The Profit Awards, which recognizes excellence and innovation in business leadership.

At JoinTheStory, Kiran leads marketing strategy and business operations, defining the platform’s brand narrative, growth strategy, and expansion initiatives, with a focus on building a purposeful and influential media ecosystem.

Alen John is a visionary entrepreneur and strategic leader whose ventures span across logistics, digital innovation, and media. As the Co-Founder and Director of JTS Media Network, he leads one of India’s most promising new-age digital news platforms focused on authentic storytelling, credible journalism, and transformative narratives.

With a strong foundation in global trade and operations, Alen also serves as the Co-Founder & Director of JW Marine & Freight, a leading UAE-based shipping and logistics firm with offices across the GCC and India. His entrepreneurial portfolio further extends to ESL Marine & Trading (UAE), Pacific Global Freight (India), and Daviti Group LLC (Georgia), showcasing a diversified international presence.

Driven by his passion for digital transformation, Alen co-founded FYBB Innovations Pvt Ltd, a technology company offering advanced web development, digital marketing, and 360° brand solutions across Kochi, Bengaluru, and Dubai.
He is also the Director of Aarthikam Communications Pvt Ltd, (acquired through FYBB) the parent company of The Profit News, a reputed business journalism magazine and news portal known for highlighting impactful business stories and thought leadership. M.P. Basheer is a Kerala-based journalist with more than 25 years of experience across print, television, and digital newsrooms. His career trajectory reflects both pioneering leadership and a relentless commitment to impactful journalism.

Basheer began his journey in 1995 as a cub reporter with Madhyamam Daily, before moving to United News of India, Deccan Herald, and eventually transitioning
to television journalism with Kairali TV in 2001. His most defining tenure came with Indiavision, Kerala’s pioneering 24×7 news channel, where he rose to the position of Executive Editor in 2010 following the exit of founding editor Nikesh Kumar. From 2010 to 2014, Basheer played a pivotal role in propelling Indiavision into the Number One slot, rivalling Asianet News.

A strategist with an instinct for stories that resonate, Basheer conceived and executed programming that combined depth, immediacy, and human engagement. His leadership helped produce some of Kerala’s most iconic stories and investigative campaigns, including the landmark “Ban Endosulfan” campaign, which became both a journalistic milestone and a public movement. He spearheaded coverage of major elections from New Delhi, reported on the Agra Indo-Pak Summit of 2001, and directed documentaries for Doordarshan International.

Beyond reporting, Basheer has nurtured a generation of television journalists. He deliberately stepped back from the limelight to allow promising anchors and reporters such as Veena George and Abhilash Mohan to flourish under his mentorship. His emphasis on editorial integrity and innovative programming helped redefine audience engagement in Kerala television.

In the digital era, Basheer co-founded SouthLive, a bilingual news platform that briefly ranked among the top three Kerala-based websites. He also steered the revamp of Reporter Live in 2021 as Editor-in-Charge, successfully repositioning the channel in a crowded marketplace. He later served as Consultant Editor at DailyHunt.

His work has been recognised with multiple honours, including the V. Krishna Moorthy Award for Best Reporter in English (2000), the Human Watch Award (2001) for exposing human rights violations in Karnataka quarries, and two prestigious fellowships: the NFI Media Fellowship and the Prem Bhatia Fellowship in Journalism. He is also the author of Moonnu Kutta Vicharanakal: 100 Years of Sex Trials in Kerala (DC Books, 2005).

Basheer brings a unique blend of field reporting, editorial strategy, and institution building. His proven record in leading newsrooms to the top tier, combined with his experience across both traditional and digital media, positions him as a key architect in shaping credible, premium news platforms for the future.

Rajeev Sankaran is a seasoned media professional with over two decades of experience spanning television and print journalism. He has been instrumental in launching multiple news channels and newspapers in Kerala, demonstrating a rare combination of editorial insight, team-building skills, and strategic vision.

Rajeev’s career is defined by his ability to build teams from scratch and transform them into high-performing editorial units. At MediaOne TV, where he served as Coordinating Editor and Head of MediaOne Academy since 2012, he played a decisive role in setting up the channel and website. He developed newsroom policies, trained an inexperienced but ambitious young team, and curated shows that quickly differentiated the channel from its competitors. His on-screen presence as an anchor of programmes like Out of Focus and Viewpoint built a loyal audience, while his leadership behind the scenes ensured steady editorial quality and innovation.

Earlier in his career, Rajeev worked as Deputy News Editor at Indiavision TV, where he contributed to daily editorial management and performance reviews of both broadcast and digital content. At Jeevan TV, he was part of the channel’s founding team, coordinating setup operations, building a newsroom team, and handling editorial output. His initial years with Kairali TV saw him leading the Palakkad bureau, where his reporting of breaking stories, such as the release of actor Rajkumar from abduction, won wide notice.

In print media, Rajeev’s editorial leadership included stints as News Editor of Siraj Daily and Varthamanam Daily, where he successfully steered the papers through challenging phases. He also began his career with Madhyamam and Deshabhimani, gaining a strong grounding in reporting and editing across Kerala’s major newsrooms.

Rajeev’s strengths lie in media strategy, editorial innovation, and performance management. He is adept at monitoring digital performance metrics, recalibrating content strategies, and leveraging social media to expand reach and engagement. His ability to combine creative programming with organisational discipline has made him a valued newsroom leader.

With a Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism and Communication from the Kerala Press Academy and a Master’s degree in Philosophy from MG University, Rajeev blends academic grounding with practical media expertise. He has consistently demonstrated the ability to lead teams, handle high-pressure editorial cycles, and innovate formats that appeal to viewers across both traditional broadcast and digital platforms.
